Following on from our previous article and looking great for the big day we focused on diet and exercise but this isn’t the full picture. According to beauty therapist Joanne Leah:
“It’s important to cleanse, tone and moisturise every day to get rid of any impurities.”
Facials are a great way to improve your skin tome and condition and you should start treating yourself to them a few months before the wedding. However don’t try one for the first time a few days before the event as it could backfire and leave you with a blotchy face.
You also need to focus on your hair. Wash your hair when you feel you need to and condition it deeply once a month. You can do this by taking your regular conditioner and combing it through wet hair and leaving it for ten minutes or more before rinsing out.
Give your scalp a good massage to stimulate healthy growth and blood flow to the scalp. When dry regular brushing will also stimulate growth and help you to shed dead hair.
In terms of the style for the wedding day, you need to have a good idea of how you want your hair well in advance of the day. If it needs cutting then get it down one week before. That gives it time to settle but will still have its shape.
Finally don’t forget to look after your hands and feet with regular manicures ad pedicures and foot massage.
