The Royal Wedding is just days away, and the entire country seems to have whipped itself up into some sort of frenzy. Despite expensive and elaborate planning on the part of the royal family, however, there is one thing that may still ruin the big day – the weather.

Meteogroup has forecast heavy rain for April 29th and the Met Office is in agreement. Temperatures are set to be above average for the time of year, but the risk of heavy rain showers is a very real one. The bride better track down a lovely white umbrella (and a royal umbrella carrier, of course)!

A pet owner who obviously has a lot of money to burn has spent a whopping £20,000 on a lavish wedding for her terrier dog Lola.

Louise Harris arranged the wedding after running a competition to find Lola a partner using Facebook; eventually settling on the Chinese-crested Mugly. Whether the dogs actually even like each other is unclear, but it won’t matter as they live a long distance from each other and will only meet up occasionally.

The pet enthusiast Harris dressed the ‘bride’ in a Swarovski crystal-studded dress, putting on a sumptuous buffet for 80 guests and spending more than £4,000 in decorations and flowers.

Ms Harris herself is currently single.

The velvet-voiced singer Michael Buble got married earlier this week to his beautiful Argentinian fiancé Luisana Lopilato, the actress, model and singer.

Whilst the happy couple were tying the knot in a romantic ceremony in Buenos Aires, however, it has been reported that opportunistic burglars broke into the singer’s home in Argentina. The thieves apparently disabled intruder alarms and security cameras to get inside the house, although it is not yet known what, if anything, was stolen.

After speaking to the police about the break-in alongside her new husband, Luisana told the press:

“I will not let this ruin the happiest day of my life.”

The couple had a second fairytale wedding ceremony in Vancouver, in Buble’s native Canada, just days later.
