On the 20th November 2008, HRH Queen Elizabeth will celebrate 60 years of wedded bliss with her husband Price Phillip.

The winter that they married had been one of the worst on record and the country remained in the throes of strict rationing and economic hardship after the Second World War.

Nonetheless, millions of well wishers the world over watched and listened as Elizabeth arrived in the magnificent stage coach at Westminster Abbey to marry her Prince.

Her royal wedding gown was designed by the infamous Sir Norman Hartnell, and was fashioned from ivory satin woven from Chinese silkworms and imported white seed pearls.

A spectacular 13 ft silk train was affixed to the shoulders of the gown and Elizabeth wore ivory satin sandals, trimmed with silver and pearls. Her tiara had previously belonged to one of her predecessors, Queen Mary.

Prince Phillip sported his Royal Naval Lieutenant attire, displaying his medals, the Star of the Order of the Garter and the Star of the Greek Order of the Redeemer. He also carried the royal sword that was later used to cut the royal wedding cake and which had been a gift to him from the King.

ITV has employed the help of a wedding expert in Flintshire, North Wales to unearth a bride and groom with a personal story to reveal for a new TV programme.

Leanne Bowles, who manages her own wedding fair business Flaunt Events from her home in Hawarden, was stunned when she received a call from ITV producers last week, requesting her assistance for the making of a new programme, ‘Four Weddings’.

The production team came across the Flaunt Events website and made the decision to secure Leanne’s specialist understanding of the wedding industry to help them to discover fitting candidates for the new show, which will record the lives of four separate couples on their road to wedded bliss and which will see them rewarded with points for their wedding day.

Leanne, a former wedding photographer said of the show;-

“They are looking for couples planning a wedding that’s a bit different or who have a special story. It may be a civil ceremony or an all-singing all-dancing big wedding. They don’t need to have a large budget.”

The selected couples will be married between spring and autumn of 2009, and Leanne is hoping to find couples to take part in the show at two of her wedding fair scheduled during November at Llyndir Hall, Rossett and the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa.

Missy opted for a £16,000 two piece wedding gown which was decorated with hundreds of Swarovski crystals, which boasted a train measuring more than 10 feet in length, and which had to be delicately removed from the wedding car which transported the young bride to church - a magnificent Rolls Royce Phantom.

Other costs for the big day included a lavish reception for more than 150 guests, a stunning tiara and a crystal wedding bouquet worth £500.

Overall in fact, Simon Quinn splashed out £100,000 - more than 5 times the cost of the average UK wedding, for his daughter’s big day.

The teenage bride who harbours ambitions to work in the world of glamour modelling, admitted that her wedding dress was actually very hard work, She said:-

“It was huge. I wanted to outdo everyone else’s wedding dress, it was extremely heavy and just standing in the church was really difficult. But despite all that, I felt just like Cinderella.

It cost a fortune, but I’ve always wanted a big wedding and my dad has been saving for ages to pay for it.”

Missy met her husband on a day trip to Alton Towers when she was aged just 13, and managed to stay in touch with her sweetheart after she and her family of travellers left the area.
